“You will end up like Gaddafi’s son” Bobi Wine tells Gen Muhoozi

Hon Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, the leader of the National Unity Platform (NUP), has once again criticized the First Son, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, after he backed veteran journalist Andrew Mwenda for wearing a UPDF uniform.

Mwenda recently came under fire when footage circulating on social media showed him wearing a UPDF uniform while seated in one of the military choppers.

Gen Muhoozi, who is also the commander of UPDF Land Forces, backed Mwenda’s behavior on Twitter, saying he is part of the UPDF’s large fan following because of the “excellent work it does.”

During a weekly news conference at the NUP headquarters in Kamwokya, Kyagulanyi informed media that the army had shown double standards by arresting NUP members for having military items such as uniforms in the past.

“You all saw Andrew Mwenda in full military attire, and you must have seen the army spokesperson’s announcement that he was evidently under investigation.” Later, Museveni’s son, like Gadaffi’s and Saddam’s sons before him, came out and ended the investigation with a single tweet, ” he said.

Aaccording to Kyagulanyi, Muhoozi will eventually end up like the sons of some of the world’s “dictators,” such as Libya’s Ghaddafi.

He explained that Muhoozi is the same guy who once tweeted that the red beret worn by their members is military-issued, as well as spearheading the arrest of several persons on suspicion of donning army uniforms.
The red berets, according to Kyagulanyi, are the movement’s and the party’s distinctive symbols.
