The Uganda Police Force has warned the public against violating the curfew guidelines as the excitement for end of year climbs the climax.

According to the police, there will be no partying in bars or disco thèques, overnight prayers in churches, fireworks, or any other type of street roaming, and people are asked to stay at home to avoid getting in trouble.

Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga, says security forces will be heavily deployed and patrolling to ensure that no one disobeys the orders, and anyone caught will be arrested and punished afterwards.

Under normal conditions, the 31st of December is a joyous day for many people throughout the world because it signifies the conclusion of the year and the start of the new one.

Since the outbreak of covid 19, curfew has been one of the rules that has prevented many people from partying late at night, especially on such days.
