BOMBS IN KAMPALA KILL MANY LEAVING OTHERS INJURED

Over 27 people are being treated at Mulago National Referral Hospital for injuries sustained in the Kampala city twin bombings on Tuesday morning.

According to Emmanuel Ainebyoona, a spokesperson for the Health Ministry, 24 of the twenty-four victims are critically ill, while the rest have minor injuries.

In a tweet, Ainebyoona states, “Following the unfortunate and cowardly act of terrorism, our health personnel is working around the clock to rescue the lives of those affected.”

Ambulances arrive one by one, bringing with them the injured, the majority of them are police officers. They are thought to have been transported from the Central Police Station, or CPS, where the first explosion occurred.

As bomb experts combed the area, police erected a perimeter around Parliamentary Avenue.

Several government offices, including the ministries of justice, information technology, and education, are located on Parliamentary Avenue.
