Ugandans hold massive protests outside New York Headquarters

Ugandans protesters in front of New York headquarters.

Yesterday, Ugandans in the US held a protest outside the UN Headquarters in New York during the UN General Assembly.

Dressed in colours of the National Unity Platform, the biggest opposition party in Uganda, their aim was to highlight the alleged  humans rights violations in Uganda and called on world leaders to pay attention to the funding they send to Uganda

They added that   most times this funding doesn’t reach the ordinary Ugandans, it is instead used to brutalise them.

Hon Kyagulanyi the NUP leader was also supposed to be part of these peaceful demonstrations but was denied entry to the US over Covid-19 issues.
