The Orthodox church announced the passing on of Bishop Yonah Lwanga on Sunday evening with no further details into the cause of his death.

Bishop Yonah Lwanga 76 has been the head of the Orthodox faith in Uganda, Metropolitan. His death comes barely months after the death of Catholic Archbishop Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga who reportedly succumbed to a blood clot.
Bishop Lwanga will vehemently be remembered for his exuberant outburst at the NRM government towards the 2021 general elections. Lwanga accused the NRM government of destabilizing Uganda and prophesied its collapse.

“This country will only stabilize when the NRM government collapses, I prophetically say it will not be there in the near future, it will dissolve” said Lwanga.

Bishop Yonah Lwanga has died at the age of 76 and has significantly contributed to the spread and growth of the Orthodox faith in Uganda. The. Burial arrangements will be revealed.
