Museveni Declares Jun 25th A National Prayers Day.

Following the unprecedented Pandemic times and escalating cases of COVID-19 cases in Uganda, H. E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has announced JUN 25th, 2021 a public holiday simultaneously a National prayers day. Ordinary Such specific prayer days have been stated over the time with an intent of a candid reflection & a National submission to God due to various challenges that cause discomfort towards our Motherland every now and then.

Uganda has recorded 74,260 cases of Infections since March last year(2020), Uganda is currently experiencing  the second wave of COVID-19 which largely prompted the second lockdown at the beginning of June in efforts to curb the infections.

The prayers are to be conducted at the president’s residence (state house) in Entebbe, Various Religious leaders are expected to take part in the session. The public has therefore been asked to stay at home and catch up with the prayer ceremony via media but most importantly also individuals offering their prayers to God.
