“I think he knows that I’m not after these positions that people crammer for and that’s why he would rather take care of his political interests of balancing here and there, and I remain a freedom fighter”.   In a video that has surfaced the internet, General Elly Tumwine has uttered a mountain  of words towards his former boss President Yoweri kaguta Museveni.

The reasons for Tumwine’s expressions are not yet disclosed however, its projected that he is bitter because he was left out in the new cabinet even though he denies it. General Elly further more said he would advise his boss (Museveni) to prepare for a smooth transition of power or else retire in peace. Like a dying horse, Tumwine carried out saying he is not here for any position in any ministry, and he would support anyone who is after progress.

He poked on Museveni’s analogy of te “Jesus and the fishermen”!   “We are  the Simon Peter(s)” (it’s us who know him, us who can carry on his massages very well but in the process we invite the “Zakarias” (those who want to be seen”) — General Tumwine. These words indicated that it’s them that know the president and his ways in and out however, he (Gen Tumwine) welcomes those new people in the government who want to shine.

While still serving as the “Security minister” months ago Gen Tumwine appeared before the press to justify the  misconduct of Security forces  of shooting people to death during the national riots when former presidential candidate “ Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine) was arrested on grounds of breaching the COVID-19  SOPs, General Tumwine said “The police has a right to shoot you and kill you if you reach a certain level.”

The statement attracted questions from allover the country and inquires about the investigation of close to 50 people that were killed. These words are allegedly still projected as the major reason as to why Elly was dropped by his boss.
