Sgt Christopher Opio arrested for using a police vehicle as a taxi, and he may end up sacked from his job.
News reaching our desk indicates that a police officer identified as Sergeant Christopher Opio who used a police vehicle as a passengers vehicle (taxi) has been arrested. Opio was anonymously recorded using a police vehicle as a taxi transporting different people to their work places. The video circulated over the internet especially social media platforms and the passengers were seen getting out and others entering this taxi paying the police officer.
This video provoked Ugandans who are locked in their homes due to the over spreading of coronavirus. Fear the power of the social media that has led troubles to Opio and some of our credible sources from the police signals that he may end up sacked from the Uganda police.
President museveni few days ago put the country on the total lockdown allowing only few essential workers to continue with their work, tax operations was among the prohibited work.
