Tanzania president Samia Suluhu arrives in Uganda.

Magufuli’s successor president Samia Suluhu Hassan  arrived in  Uganda today April 11 for a business visit to the state house , Suluhu was warmly welcomed by HE Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Kaguta Museveni and she  inspected the guard of honor .

The two leaders held a meeting a head of signing the EACOP Tripartite project agreement , Her delegation to Uganda included Hon. Palamagamba John Aidan Mwaluko Kabudi, Minister of Legal & Constitutional Affairs, Hon. Liberata Mulamula Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Dr. Medard Kalemani, Minister of Energy Prof. Adelardus Kilangi Attorney General and Prof. Florens Luoga the Governor of the Bank of Tanzania.


Teams from both Uganda and Tanzania have for the last 24 hours been engaged in discussions that will lead to the signing of the agreements.
The oil pipeline is expected to cross from the Albertine oil region through Tanzania.

The agreement was first tracked by Tanzania’s late President, John Pombe Magufuli.
The visit is President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s first foreign visit since she took over the leadership of Tanzania last month.
